Extreme Apple-chocolate cake

Richest, especially dark, moist, dense and sticky, this extreme chocolate cake with apple sauce is all you need to satisfy your chocolate cravings.

Once you taste this chocolate cake, you will understand why exactly a chocolate cake is called the King of the dessert table. With intense chocolate flavor and added chunky apple sauce, the cake tastes delicious even without any frosting to accompany.

Here is the story behind this intense cake. It has been quite a while since I started making a large number of home-made chocolates. The orders have been up with all these Valentine day celebrations and Birthday parties. I usually sell a small quantity of chocolates only to my relatives and family friends but since last month, I have been having orders from few new customers. I had been busy making (and eating!) customized chocolates and that is one of the reasons why my blog posts stood as drafts for almost a month. Anyway, while trying to make the chocolates taste perfect, I taste them before molding. I cling to that taste and make sure to prepare few extra chocolates. Throwing away all my weight-loss vows, I gobble up those chocolates like a chocoholic and then feel guilty and crib for the whole day. No wonder none of my old clothes fit me anymore... :(

Finally, one fine morning last week, I decided that I will start off with a strict no-chocolate diet but soon had to postpone the plan. I was thinking of making a Birthday cake for my darling mom on her Birthday and there was no way I would miss on eating a cake. :D That is why this cake was made and it did satisfy my cravings (for a while though) Regardless, I ate more than everyone else and here I am, wanting to prepare it again while editing these pics!

Talking about the recipe, the cake is egg-less and butter-less and very easy to make. I could not make Ganache because of the time limitation but you can make simple chocolate ganache for frosting. Enjoy the cake hot with a cup cold milk to get that intense experience of rich dark chocolate.
